Applied Geomatics Education
The University of Arkansas places the highest priority on the effective preparation
of students for productive careers. CAST is proud to partner with the U of A Department
of Geosciences and U of A Global Campus to help provide specific student preparation
in the area of geomatics. In geomatics students can either be focused on a career
in geomatics or to use their training in geomatics to enhance their skills in fields
such as geology, biology, landscape architecture and many other disciplines.
Student preparation utilizes a combination of formal course offerings, internships, undergraduate and graduate research opportunities, and integration with current industry practices and professional certification. U of A departments are encouraged to take full advantage of the extensive teaching, lab and field equipment resources available through the CAST.
