Assignment 5/Geographic Information Systems

There are three parts to this homework assignment.

  • The first part involves using the sheet "Using Lview Pro to capture GIS maps from the GRASS demo" to capture at least one GRASS image and write the equivalent of one page about GIS and its applications. Use examples from the readings and exercises in class.

  • The second part is similar to the homework last week. Annotate one website of substance related to GIS.

  • The final part requires you to give two examples (each a few paragraphs or more in length) of ways in which GIS can be applied to your own research interests.
